CONFIANZA '25 National Seminar

CONFIANZA 2K25, the National Homoeopathic Medical Conference & Scientific Seminar, was hosted by the AIKYA College Union at Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Kozhikode. It united homoeopaths nationwide, providing a premier platform for knowledge-sharing, clinical learning, and academic growth.

During this conference, I participated in the Short Paper Presentation Competition, which ran concurrently with the main events. I presented a detailed paper on the "Homeopathic Management of Diabetes Mellitus among Post-Menopausal women using Helonias Dioica - A case series."

The presentation detailed an intricately structured 12-week clinical investigation:

• Objective: Tracking Serum HbA1c and Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) levels before and after the administration of Helonias dioica.
• Follow-ups: Rigorous bi-weekly assessments at weeks 3, 5, 7, 9, and 12.
• Action Pathways: Clinical decisions were strictly mapped out based on whether FBS levels decreased or showed no change.
• Analysis: Findings were ultimately led into data analysis using t-tests to validate clinical efficacy.

A Special Highlight: Dr. Beena Das T R

A very proud moment for me was seeing my mother, Dr. Beena Das T R, serve as one of the esteemed main speakers. Representing Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, where she is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Materia Medica, she delivered a masterclass session.

Her topic was "Allergic Rhinitis and Homoeopathy - An Impact On Bowel Flora." She provided an in-depth clinical look into the physical manifestations of allergies. Her slides beautifully illustrated the "Allergic facies", detailing clinical signs in children such as allergic shiners (venous engorgement), permanent creases (lower third of the nasal bridge from rubbing the nose), and open mouth breathing.

She was felicitated by the AIKYA College Union with a formal Certificate of Appreciation and a beautifully crafted golden memento honoring her massive contribution to the seminar.
